Nutella Mug Cake (Microwave Recipe )

Nutella Mug Cake (Microwave Recipe)

Hello everyone. Mug Cake is a  really nice dessert. It is easy to make. It needs only a few  ingredients. They are perfect when you want to eat a cake but don't want to bake a big cake. Mug cake is also a nice dessert for guests.

Now we all love Nutella, isn't it?
Now imagine a cake made up of nutella. Even better as it requires a handful of ingredients. For this,  you just need nutella,  flour and an egg. Yeah!  Just  three ingredients. And you are ready with your spongy and chocolaty Nutella Mug Cake. You can also decorate it with powdered sugar, like this 👇

This Mug Cake is prepared in the microwave. So this is a microwave special recipe. You just need to heat this cake mixture for a minute and your mug cake is ready. You can start making this mug cake just at the end of lunch or dinner and in a few minutes, you get hot and spongy mug cake.

Preparation Time -  5 Minutes

Cooking Time  -  1 minute

Total Time -  6 minutes

Serves - 1

Ingredients -

  • 1/4 Cup Nutella
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Tablespoon Flour

Method -

  • Take a microwave safe mug.
  • Add nutella. NOTE - Nutella should be at room temperature.
  • Now add egg.
  • Mix nutella and egg together. Add flour. Mix properly.
  • Microwave it for 1 minute. (Remember you don't have to bake it in the convection mode of the microwave. You simply have to heat this mixture as you reheat your food. The heat will bake your mug cake).

  1. I have never tried nutella, but my husband loves it. I don't know why I can never bring myself to try it, no matter the amount of people that tell me it's amazing. Also have never heard of preparing a cake in the microwave?!! This is definitely a must try...the curiosity is killing me!

  2. I dunno....seems like a raw egg would take more then a minute to cook!! I am a little leery about this cake....is it okay if I cook it for 2 minutes just for my comfort level??

    1. The egg gets cooked in a minute. Actually there is enough amount of heat inside a microwave. And therefore this cake gets cook in a minute. For your satisfaction, do one thing. After a minute, just insert a cake tester inside the cake, if that comes out clean, your cake is ready. :)

  3. This is such a simple recipe - I love it!! It's also perfect because sometimes I'm craving something sweet but I don't want to bake a whole tray of something because I'll eat more than I should!

  4. My hubby is obsessed with nutella, he will love this. Also, my 10 year old loves to make desserts for us and this would be the perfect recipe for him to make without destroying my kitchen! :) Hooray! I wonder if this would work with soy butter and cocoa or something similar for those of us allergic to nuts (I know, I can't eat nutella and it's killing me!!) Great recipe!
